Henryk Jakubanis (1879–1949) was a Polish historian of philosophy and antiquity researcher. The article aims to present his biography and his historical-philosophical works. This will contribute to a broader understanding of Jakubanis’ place in the history of ideas in Central and Eastern Europe. The biographical section of the article is supplemented with archival materials from the Catholic University of Lublin, that have not yet been fully studied. Regarding Jakubanis's works, it should be noted that this is the first time that the contents of his manuscripts have been presented. Additionally, the article delves into the intellectual lineage of Jakubanis, focusing on the influences of Alexei Gilarov (1856–1938) and Tadeusz Zieliński (1859–1944).
